2010 - Begin Again
Time it was, and what a time it was, it was
A time of innocence, a time of confidences
Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph
Preserve your memories, they're all that's left you.
Bookends, by Simon & Garfunkel, a nice tune to play at the end of a decade many of us are happy to wave good-bye to. December 31, 2009.
My mantra for the coming year: 2010, Begin Again.

That’s the beauty of life. Every single day, every single second for that matter, we have the opportunity to start over. To make one tiny choice that can make a huge difference. On New Year’s, as we turn the page to a bright shiny new day, month, year and decade on the calendar, we feel a rush of anticipation, a surge of potential and possibility.
This year, in particular, many people are eager to see the shiny Waterford crystal ball drop and know that a difficult year has ended. Somehow the addition of that one tiny second makes a huge psychological difference. We can exhale with relief – we survived, we’re alive, we made it. 2009 is finally over, and we can turn our faces to a new year, a new dawn of possibility. Amen.
So it’s almost here. The countdown’s begun for many of us. We have our party hats on and our beverage of choice in hand.
I’m not so big on resolutions, but I am one for dreams. And a goal or two, if it makes sense and can help you move forward.
So, please share. What do you want for this year? What will you do for yourself that will take you one step closer to your goal?
Here’s mine, and I have put a small handful of friends and fans on patrol to keep me honest ~ I will post here every single day in 2010. Yep, that’s right. Every single day.
Send some star cards. The project is taking flight, and so am I.
